Debra C. Delorenzo-Lueger

Belleville, Kansas

Debra C. Delorenzo-Lueger, 63, of Belleville, Kansas passed away unexpectedly at her home in Belleville on November 11, 2024.

Debra was born October 4, 1961, to Vincent and Winifred “Doris” Brett Delorenzo in Paterson, New Jersey. She grew up in West Milford, New Jersey where she graduated from West Milford High.

Shortly after completing high school Debra joined the United States Air Force. Following basic training at Lockland Air base, she was assigned to Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, Nebraska. Following four years in active Air Force duty Debra was reassigned to an Intelligence Specialist focus. In addition to time served at Offutt Air Base, Debra also served several years at Ramstein Air Force Base in West Germany, several years at Wurtsmith Air Base in Michigan, and shortly over a year at Osan Air Force Base in South Korea. The remainder of her time in the Air Force was spent at Offutt Air Force where she retired in early 2001.

Soon after retirement from the Air Force, Debra met Thomas Lueger in Omaha at a jointly attended event. They were married March 1, 2003, at All Faith’s Chapel at Offutt Air Force Base.

Debra worked several years in Social Services between Plattsmouth and Lincoln, Nebraska.

Tom and Debb moved to Belleville, Kansas in 2014. Debra owned and managed Kansas World’s Fair, an antique store in downtown Belleville while Tom worked in supervision at Reinke Irrigation and Manufacturing.

Debra was always happy and full of joy at gatherings, especially family gatherings. She was also fond of caring for pets and spent many happy times caring for and expanding flowers and bushes at her home.

Debra is survived by her husband, Thomas, of Belleville, and sister, Dawn Delorenzo Schmid, of West Milford, New Jersey. She is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vincent Delorenzo, mother, Winifred Brett Delorenzo, and brother, Paul Delorenzo.

Rosary is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. at Lauer’s Funeral Home in Seneca, Kansas on Monday, November 18, 2024.

A funeral mass will be held at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic church in Seneca at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, followed by military burial at Saints Peter and Paul cemetery in Seneca.

Full military honors were provided by the Seneca Memorial Post #7458 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Earl W. Taylor Post #21. A flag line was provided by the American Legion Riders Post #21.

Memorials are to be designated at a later date sent in care of the family.
