Leola M. Householter, 91, of Seneca, died on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Crestview Nursing and Residential Living in Seneca.

Leola was born Margaret Irene on September 26, 1923 to Floyd and Katherine Smith Richardson. She grew up around Reemsville and attended school until the 10th grade; when she began working for neighbors assisting in the care of their babies. That is how she met her future husband, Francis Householter. The couple was married October 29th in Concordia, Kansas; Francis died on October 15, 2001. Leola never worked outside the home, other than helping neighbors with their newborns; she was devoted to raising her two daughters. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. Leola moved to Crestview on March 22, 2006.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Maxine Fulmer and Ila Richardson; and a brother.

Leola is survived by two daughters, Judy (Gene) Blochlinger of Seneca and Shelly (Jeff) Anderson of McPherson, Kansas; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

The family will meet friends from 8 to 10 AM, Friday morning at the funeral home before leaving to go to Marguette.

The burial will be in the Freemount Cemetery near Marquette, Kansas.
