Bonita F. “Bonnie” Ronnebaum, 78, Seneca, died on Sunday, June 28, 2015, at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca.
Bonnie was born on March 13, 1937 in Baileyville to Vincent and Lillian D. Kotapish Broxterman. She attended Baileyville High School and graduated in 1955. As a young women Bonnie worked for Marysville Mutual Insurance in Marysville, Kansas.
She married Robert L. Ronnebaum on September 3, 1959 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baileyville, Kansas. Bonnie was a homemaker, and after the kids were raised, she did housekeeping for various people in town as well as Sts. Peter and Paul Church for five years.
Bonnie was an avid card player; she enjoyed gardening and canning the fruits of her labor.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert on May 16, 2015; a grandson, Derrick V. Ronnebaum on February 19, 1995; her parents, Vincent on August 21, 1960 and Lillian December 16, 1984; and a sister, Betty May Broxterman on June 24, 1938.
She is survived by two children, Deb (Roger) Deters of Centralia and Rob Ronnebaum of Seneca; two grandchildren; three brothers, Ronald Broxterman of Columbus, Nebraska, Erlan Broxterman of Kansas City, Kansas and Doyle Broxterman of Kansas City, Kansas; and a sister, Marceda Keim of Sabetha.
Rosaries will be prayed on 2 and 7 P.M. on Thursday, July 2nd at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 A.M. on Friday, July 3, 2015at Sts. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church in Seneca. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
