Craig A. Durland, 34, of Centralia, KS, died on Wednesday, October 1, 2008.

Craig was born in Topeka on August 28, 1974 to Richard and Sue Torrey Durland. He graduated from Centralia High School in 1993. After high school he worked in Topeka at Sam’s Club, and became manager of the Tire Department.

On January 10, 1998 he married Kimberly Niehues at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Corning. The couple made their home in Centralia. In September of 1998 he bought into Durland Auto in Seneca.

He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Corning. Craig was a caring person who was always the first to help those in need. He enjoyed woodworking, playing pool and poker, and being with his friends. He loved his family deeply; his greatest joy was spending time with his family and his children.

He will be missed by his wife, his children Caleb (9), Kendall (5), Cole (1) and an unborn baby due in May; his father, Richard Durland of Centralia; his brother, Wayne of Centralia; and his two sisters, Stacy Durland of Eskridge and Brenda Durland of Centralia.

Craig was preceded in death by his mother Sue on July 28, 2007.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 AM Monday, October 6, at St. Patrick’s Church in Corning. Burial will be in the Centralia Cemetery. Rosaries will be prayed at 2 & 7 PM Sunday at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that memorials be given in Craig’s memory to an education fund for his children, and sent in care of the family.
