Frank E. Newcomb, 57, of Centralia, died Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at his home in Centralia.

Frank was born on July 31, 1959 in Concordia, Kansas to Frank E. and Eva May Chamberlain Newcomb, Sr. Frank grew up in Concordia, where he attended school.

He married Tamie Carr in Concordia; they later divorced. In 1996 Frank and Tamie moved to Seneca where he went to work for his father-in-law Harry Carr at his welding shop. Frank worked part time for Jim Shump driving his truck for rock hauling.

Frank was a very caring man with a huge heart. He loved spending time in the outdoors; he enjoyed mushroom hunting, hand fishing in the river, camping and hunting.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Bill Newcomb and a son, Aron Carr.

Frank is survived by his children, Sherri Carr of Onieda and Anthony Newcomb; six grandchildren, Isaac Barrett, Andre Dalinghaus, Maleki Barrett, Kendra Newcomb, Gaven Newcomb and Braxton Dowd; his siblings, Mary Lynn of Lynn, Kansas, Mike Bates of Concordia, Kansas, Linda Knox of Delphis, Kansas, Lonnie Bates and Roberta Bates both from Washington, D.C.; and many nieces and nephews.

As per Frank’s request cremation has taken place and will have a private service will be held at a later date.
