David Olan Files, 44, of Seneca, KS, died Sunday evening, March 27, 2011 at the home of his aunt, Terry Linville, in Seneca.

He was born on September 20, 1966, in Lynwood, CA, to Patrick H. and Freda E. Cunningham Files. He attended Oceanview High School in Lynwood, graduating in 1986. While still in California, he worked for Washington Inventory Service for 11 years and then Sav-On Drugs for seven years.

He and his family moved to Seneca, KS on December 31, 2006. He was married to Cheryl Ann Files; they later divorced. David married Rebecca Jean Green on March 20, 2009 in Seneca.

His greatest achievement was being a father to four wonderful children. David was an avid movie fan, especially horror movies, and loved heavy metal music. He was an avid fan of Angels baseball and watched every game on TV.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca of the home; four children, Michael Files of Seneca, Daniel Files, of the home, Damien Files of the home and Natasha Pardo of Anaheim, CA; his mother, Freda Files of Seneca; and siblings, Della Files of Buena Park, CA, Darin Files of Irvine, CA and Deana Files of California.

He was preceded in death by his father Patrick on January 4, 1990.

Cremation is planned, with inurnment at a later date.
