Teresa C. Eisenbarth Meyer

Seneca,Kansas

Teresa C. Eisenbarth Meyer, 85, of Seneca, died on April 24, 2018 at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca.

Teresa, was born on January 14, 1933, on a farm south of Seneca to Bernard and Rachel Waller Henry. Teresa grew up south of Seneca and attended Sts. Peter and Paul Grade School; graduating from High School in 1951. After she graduated, she went to work for Southwestern Bell in Topeka for a couple years. Then she returned to Seneca.

On October 3, 1953 she married Regis L. Eisenbarth at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. After they were married, the couple moved to Colorado to finish out Regis’s service and later the returned to Seneca. Teresa provided Day Care and also took care of her parents and others in the community. In 1975, she started to work at the Seneca Bowl and retired in 2001. The couple celebrated 39 years of marriage before Regis passed away.

On October 16, 1999, Teresa married Leo B. Meyer at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. The couple enjoyed 18 years of marriage, which they spent in Seneca.

Teresa had many interests over the years, bowling, cards, reading, embroidery, crocheting and cooking.

She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, St. Ann’s Altar Society, the Seneca American Legion and Seneca Hospital Guild.

She was preceded in death by her first Husband Regis on October 3, 1992; a son, Daniel Eisenbarth in July 22, 2008; her parents, Bernard on April 9, 1978 and Rachel on August 12, 1975; five brothers, Leonard, John, Elmer, Hank and Dave.

She is survived by her husband, Leo, her daughters, Colleen Peterson of Wichita and Denise Haas of Topeka; her son, Darrin Eisenbarth of Narka, Kansas; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Eisenbarth; two step children, Mark Meyer of Haysville and Alison Peck of St. George; 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Grace Buessing of Seneca and Gladys Deters of Baileyville; and four brothers, Dan Henry of Seneca, Ron Henry of Kansas City, Missouri, Mark Henry of Perry and Ed Henry of Waterville.

Rosaries will be prayed at 2 and 7 PM at the Lauer Funeral Home on Thursday, April 26, 2018.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church in Seneca at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 27, 2018.

Memorials are for Nemaha Valley Hospital in Seneca, sent in care of the family.

Rosaries will be prayed at 2 and 7 PM at the Lauer Funeral Home on Thursday, April 26, 2018.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church in Seneca at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 27, 2018.

    What a wonderful lady! Always remember her at the bowling alley when I was young. She will be missed by many and our thoughts and prayers to her family!
