Robert “Bobby” J. Huninghake, 61, died unexpectedly on July 27, 2018 at his home in Fairview, Kansas.
Robert was born on September 20, 1956, in Axtell to August and Frances Stegeman Huninghake Jr.; his father died when Robert was very young. He grew up in the St. Benedict community and graduated from St. Mary’s Grade School; graduating from B&B High School in 1974.
On December 9, 1974, Robert joined the United States Marine Corps, in Kansas City. While in Service he was a Telecom Maintenance Man and earned the rank of an E-2; he was honorably discharged on December 19, 1975 from Palms California.
After his service to his country, Robert went to work for MAC Equipment in Sabetha until 2011. After “retiring” at an early age, Robert was “self-employed,” doing welding and handy work, to pass the time and keep busy.

He was a member of the Fairview American Legion.
