Teresa K. Dodd, 54 of Seneca, lost her battle against cancer on September 13, 2018 at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca.

Teresa was born on December 29, 1963, in Axtell, Kansas to Bernard and Kay Holland Hulsing. She grew up northeast of Seneca and attended Sts. Peter and Paul Grade School and then went to Nemaha Valley High School, graduating in 1982.

As a young woman, she was working at Country View Nursing Home in Seneca before beginning her employment at Nemaha Valley Community Hospital. Teresa continued to work at Nemaha Valley Community Hospital until her death. She performed different task and worked in various departments during her tenure at the hospital; she was currently working in the clinic.

On February 18, 1984 she married James Allen Dodd in Seneca. The couple celebrated 28 beautiful years of marriage. Teresa cared for James and was by his side throughout his fight against cancer, which he lost on January 21, 2013.

Teresa loved to work on scrapbooks, socializing and spending time with her family. She took the role as grandmother to heart; and spent her days spoiling her grandchildren. She was a devoted care giver; always wanting to aid friends and family when they were sick and in need of nurturing care.

She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the St. Ann’s Altar Solidity in Seneca. She was an EMT for the City of Seneca for 10 years.

Teresa is survived by her four daughters, Nichole (Bob) Koch of Seneca, Melissa (John) Williamson of Topeka, Rachel Dodd of Seneca and Hannah (Rick) Cole of Nebraska City, Nebraska; five grandchildren, Marissa, Ryan and Theo Koch and Aubrey and Brooklyn Williamson; her parents, Bernard and Kay Hulsing of Seneca; and her siblings, Barb (Jay) Luckeroth of Topeka and John Hulsing of Seneca.

Rosaries will be prayed at 2 & 7 P.M. Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 AM on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. Burial in the church cemetery.

Memorial may be given to the COINS for a Cause, or Nemaha Valley Community Hospital, sent in care of the family.
