Maurice E. Bergman
Vermillion, Kansas
12/20/1960 - 04/28/2019
Maurice Edward Bergman, 58, of Vermillion, died in Frankfort, Kansas on Sunday, April 28, 2019.
Maurice was born on December 20, 1960 in Seneca to Merlin H. and Leona Koelzer Bergman. Maurice attended Vermillion Grade School and attended Centralia High School, graduating in 1979.
After he graduated, Maurice was employed by Frosty McClary Oil and later for Ivan and James Woolsoncroft. Maurice and his brothers also helped his father with the everyday farm operation and with their custom farming. Due to his father’s failing health Maurice and his brother, Stephen, bought the family farm in 1989 and started farming together, a partnership that was still active at the time of Maurice’s death.
Maurice had one hobby and that was farming; although his greatest passion was his children. He enjoyed a good tractor pull, KU and going to concerts when he could.
He was a member of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Frankfort, where he was an usher. He was also member of the Knights of Columbus in Frankfort.
He is survived by his son, Jordan Bergman of Vermillion; his daughter, Bailey Bergman of Vermillion; brothers; Stephen (K’lyn) Bergman of Frankfort and Roger (Brenda) Bergman of Vermillion; and sisters, Connie (Morris) Campfield of Lincoln, Nebraska, Denise (Joe) Kohake of Centralia and Stacie (David) Korte of Kelly.
