Kathryn J. (Luby) Reed

Kathryn J. Reed, 88, of Seneca, died on July 3, 2020 at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital.
Kathryn was born on November 9, 1931, in Waukegan, Illinois to Patrick A. and Gladys V. Sorensen Luby. She attended a country school in Illinois and Wadsworth Grade School. Kathryn later received her GED; obtaining a Bachelor’s in Science Degree later in life, an achievement she was very proud of.
She was married to Norman F. Reed in 1979 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Katheryn worked in food service and the retail industries. She loved all kinds of sports, reading, square dancing, sewing and knitting. She also enjoyed watching Jimmy Swagger media church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Robert Wayne Brown, Jean Louise Dahl, Robbin John Brown; and brothers, Wayne Francis Luby, Edward Allan Luby, James Robert Luby and Patrick Francis Luby.
She is survived by her children, Judith A. Lock of Seneca, Norma Jean Harbin of Polson, Montana, Nita Maddocks of Baileyville, John Ramon Mcgillivary, of Enterprise, Alabama and Nancy Jane Brown of Phoenix, Arizona; a sister, Ruth Ann Harris of Phoenix, Arizona; a brother, Russell M. Lubu, of Orlando Florida; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and 9 great-great- grandchildren.
Per Kathryn wishes she was cremated and a private graveside will be held at a later date, at the Goodyear Cemetery. She will be inurned next to her husband.
Memorials are for the American Cancer Society, sent in care of the family.
