Damian L. Koch
Baileyville, Kansas

Damian L. Koch, 59, of Baileyville lost his battle against cancer on May 16, 2023, at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital.
Damian was born on September 8, 1963, in Seneca, to Joseph and Mary Mueting Koch. Damian attended B&B school and graduated in 1982. He was committed to helping his father with the farming and dairy operation. He was employed with Steve Stallbaumer Construction in Seneca for over 20 years. After his father suffered a stroke, Damian quit his job to help with his care and the farming.
Damian was a member of the Sacred Heart Church where he had served church council, he was also a member of the Baileyville Knights of Columbus. He loved giving his nieces and nephews a rough time, hanging out with his friends, football and hunting coyotes with the Baileyville group.
Damian was preceded in death by his father, Joseph on September 28, 2022; and brother, Edward on July 2, 1971.
Damian is survived by his mother, Mary; his brother, Clem (Rosemary) Koch of Baileyville; three niece and nephews, Jeffrey Koch, Jordon Koch and Hannah (Chase) Copeland; and five great nieces and nephews, Jaelynn, Jaxon, Jessa, Calvin and Henton.
A rosary will be prayed at 7 PM on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at the Sacred Heart Church in Baileyville. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Friday, May 19, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baileyville. The burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials for Damian will be designated at a later date and may be sent in care of the family.

My deepest sympathy to all the family and friends of Damian. A harder worker more concerned individual I would be hard pressed to find. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace Damian!

We are so saddened by Damian’s passing. May he rest in peace! Sorry also to miss the services as Brian’s youngest son Jacob graduates from high school in Montana Saturday. Headed there today.
