Ann G. Kaster

DuBois, Nebraska

Ann G. Kaster, 59, of DuBois, Nebraska died on December 23, 2017 at the Pawnee County Memorial Hospital.

Ann was born in Seneca, Kansas on July 27, 1958 to Mienrad J. and Joan G. Haug Bergman.

Ann attended school in Baileyville and graduated from B & B with the Class of 1976. Ann attended Manhattan Vo-Tech. Ann married Ronald L. Kaster on April 16, 1977 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baileyville.

For 27 years she was employed by Nemaha County Head Start. She sat on the Board and attended National Conventions. Ann also sold Avon in her later years. Ann was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother—she loved spending quality time with her grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, gardening, crafts, traveling, camping & cooking. Reading, butterflies, angels, stars, and porcelain dolls also brought joy to Ann’s heart. She appreciated nature and riding with her husband on his motorcycle. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mienrad on February 15, 1978; an infant brother Joseph in 1963; and a nephew, Jeremy Siess on April 29, 2006. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ron of the home; sons, David (Heather) Kaster of Wymore, Nebraska and Daniel Kaster of Morrill, Kansas; a daughter, Sara (Adam Sumner) Kaster of Topeka; her mother, Joan Ward of Seneca; a brother, Michael Bergman of Baileyville; sisters, Beth Siess of Seneca, Mary Winkler of Seneca; Teresa Skoch of Topeka and Julie Arnold of Kansas City; and grandchildren, Evan and Harper Kaster of Wymore, Nebraska and Madison, Shelbi, Hannah and Hunter Kaster of Syracuse, Nebraska.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 29th from 6- 7:30PM at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca.

Funeral Services will be held at Lauer Funeral Home at 10:30AM on Saturday, December 30, 2017.

Burial will be in the DuBois Cemetery.

Memorials will be designated according to the wishes of the family.
