Ava L. Steinlage, age 3, of Centralia, Kansas, died late Thursday evening April 28, 2011 as a result of complications from an illness, at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

She was born in Des Moines, Iowa on June 28, 2007 the daughter of David and Shana Holthaus Steinlage.

Ava was a very active little girl who loved watching Cinderella, having books read to her, playing with her friends, going to grandma’s, playing with her big brothers, playing dolls with her little sister and going to her day care at Marilyn’s Day Care.

Ava is survived by her parents; her brothers, Daegan and Will; her little sister, Carlee; grandparents, Carol Steinlage of Auburn, Kansas, and Gerald and Iris Holthaus of Topeka; and great-grandmothers, Odelia Sudbeck of Seneca and Henrietta Holthaus of Axtell.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Leander G. Steinlage; and her great-grandparents, Henry and Loretta Steinlage, Ignatius Sudbeck, Greg Holthaus, and Oscar and Creta Stueve.

Rosaries will be prayed at 2 & 7 PM Monday, May 2, at St. Patrick’s Church in Corning. Mass of the Angels will be offered at 10 AM Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at St. Patrick’s Church in Corning. Burial will be in the the church cemetery.
