Constance “Connie” Lierz, 59, of Baileyville, passed away peacefully on Labor Day morning, September 3, 2018 at her home in Baileyville.
Connie was born on February 18, 1959 at Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca to Henry and Patricia Stallbaumer Lierz. She attended Annunciation Catholic Grade School and Frankfort Grade School; graduating from Frankfort High School in 1977.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Altar Society in Baileyville. Connie was employed at Eastridge Nursing Facility in Centralia and Shopko in Seneca, until her health forced her to quit.
Connie loved her family, the outdoors, her cats and was a die-hard KU fan. She showed the extent of her courage and strength of her faith over the past five years in her battle with breast cancer.
Survivors are three brothers, Bill, Kenny and Jim all of Topeka; two sisters, Jean Wrosch of Onaga and Shirley Hulsing of Topeka; dear friends, Deb Leiker of Baileyville and Kate Sperfslage of Seneca; five nieces and two nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry on November 27, 2010 and Patricia on September 26, 2013; a niece, Amanda Lierz Girard on October 28, 2014; and two infant siblings, Mary Jo on August 1, 1957 and Elizabeth Louise on April 5, 1963.
Rosaries will be prayed at 2 & 7 PM Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM Friday, September 7, 2017, at Sacred Heart’s Church in Baileyville. Burial will be in the St. Patrick’s Church Cemetery in Corning.
Memorials are for Cat Association of Topeka, St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Humane Society of Topeka.

Lierz Family, I’s so sorry to see this. It’s so hard to loose a sibling & esp. your “Baby Sister”. Hopefully I will be able to make the funeral if all works out. Again, my condolesences to all her family.
