Cynthia K. Cunningham Kramer

Cynthia K. Cunningham Kramer, 64, of Seneca, lost her courageous battle with Pulmonary Hypertension on March 21, 2024, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City. She was surrounded by her family and the caring nursing staff.
She was born on September 1, 1959, in Hiawatha, Kansas the daughter of Dearld R. and Donna J. Lobb Cunningham. She grew up in Hiawatha and attended Hiawatha Grade School until 1971. Her family moved to New Strawn, Kansas and she graduated 8th grade from Burlington Jr. High in 1973. After moving to Centralia, Kansas, she attended and graduated from Centralia High School with the Class of 1977.
Cynthia Kay Cunningham married Wayne Leo Kramer on April 21, 1979, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. The couple celebrated their 25th and 40th anniversaries with family and friends. The couple were just one month shy of celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary.
Cindy was employed by the Kansas Insurance Department in Topeka, Kansas from June of 1977 to January 1979. She found her true calling in the dental industry, where she devoted 44 years caring for patients. She worked for various doctors in the Seneca office including Dr. George Vlasak, Dr. Lance Tempel, Dr. Jason Showman, Dr. Sarah Henry and lastly Dr. Katie Steinlage. Her full of life personality always welcomed each patient with a heartfelt smile. She truly enjoyed working every day and her co-workers were always more like family.
For over 10 years, Cindy and Glenda Schultejans enjoyed helping brides make their wedding visions a reality with their decorating business and enjoyed every minute of it. Cindy’s happy go lucky personality and positive attitude helped the business thrive.
Cindy never knew a stranger and loved to spend time with her family and friends. From playing cards, shopping and decorating, to weekend trips and attending the grandchildren’s various activities, Cindy was always on the go.
Cindy was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca, the St. Ann’s Altar Society where she served as an officer. Her faith was important to her, and she felt honored to share her knowledge with the youth of the church. She dedicated ten years to the CCD program as a coordinator and teacher. She was a generous person who would never say no to helping someone in need.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Dearld and Donna Cunningham; her father-in-law, Eymard Kramer; and brothers-in-law, Paul Kramer and Steve Roche.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Wayne; her children, Kristen (Ron) Birch of Maple Hill, Michelle (Eric) Kohake of Baileyville and Shawn (Jenna) Kramer of Seneca; siblings, Susan Roche of Topeka, Debbie (Gene) Quirarte of Lawrence, Sandy (Kenny) Yarger of Centralia and Richard (Leslie) Cunningham of Hiawatha; her mother -in-law, Alice Kramer of Seneca; and ten grandchildren; Tyler, Kalynn, Bryson Birch; Kasen, Chase, Logan and Jaden Kohake and Levi, Mason and Easton Kramer.
Rosaries will be prayed at 2 and 7 PM Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Monday, March 25, 2024, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. Burial in the church cemetery.
Memorials can be given in Cindy’s memory to SPPS School, Nemaha Valley Community Hospital Building fund, Seneca Dental, sent in care of the family.

Cindy always made patients , feel comfortable, not always an easy thing to do at a dental office. Thank you for your consideration and wonderful care throughout the years. I looked forward to seeing you even though I wasn’t always thrilled to be there! Lol!
