Condolences
Shirley and family: so sorry for your loss. 🙏 for you all.
May our Lord welcome Dan into his eternal rest and provide peace and comfort for his family.Cherish his memories and they will sustain you always..God bless.
Words seem inadequate to express the sadness we feel about Dan’s passing. It was a great pleasure of mine to work with the Hammes family. Dan was the salt of the earth. My experience with Dan showed that he had integrity, honesty, trustworthiness and was kind with a touch of don’t cross me. In trucking terms, I could sleep behind him in a blizzard coming down a mountain and know he had it under control. We share comfort in knowing Dan is no longer suffering. We send thoughts of sympathy and support to you as you begin your journey without Dan. We pray the love of God enfolds you during your journey through grief. God Bless the Hammes Family.
Respectfully the Leicht Family
Stan and I want to express our deepest sympathy to you Shirley and your family. Dan has struggled for a long time as you well know with good times to create more memories. Having worked in the hospice world I have learned there is never enough words to soften the grief that comes with loss of a loved one. Our faith tells us we will meet again and it should be very reassuring to loved ones left behind that he is not hurting and will be waiting with open arms when you meet again. Comfort each other during the fried process and prayers for all.
Love,
Stan and Rosie Hornbaker

Jason and all of Dan’s Family: so sorry to hear of your loss. I worked for J-Six for years and knew of Dan then. I met Dan when we both were in Pulmonary Rehab at Seneca hospital. I enjoyed visiting with Dan and was amazed at his dedication to keeping healthy after his transplant. Dan was very dedicated to his family and I’m certain your wonderful memories of him will help in the days ahead. Prayers for peace and comfort for all of you.

Shirley and family so sorry to hear of Dan’s passing. It is just not fair to be takin so young. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless each and everyone of you. May Dan Rest In Peace.
Condolences to the Hammes family. I knew Dan indirectly through mostly Jason and also through sister-in-law Connie. I enjoyed and respected Jason a great deal in our working together. I know Jason to be a direct reflection of his dad, Dan. Jason talked a lot about his dad, always respectfully and lovingly. I also felt a little of a kinship to the type of man Dan was, a hard working trucker. God bless.
Prayers for you and your family.
Thoughts and Prayers to you Traci and the entire Hammes family. May god lift you up in this time of need!
Traci and family,
Thoughts and prayers are lifted up for all of you, as you deal with the loss of your loved one. The grief process is not easy and is different for everyone. My mom died this last Feb. and all the firsts are hard to get through. ( first Mother’s Day, birthday, wanting to make that usual phone call etc.) I leaned on God’s promises that He will not give us more than we can handle ; that He is our shepherd who leads us in the path of rightousness and restores our soul . I pray that God’s peace that passes our understanding surrounds you during your hard times. Traci I believe you will see your loved one again in heaven. He is now your angel in heaven, watching over all of you.
In sympathy,
Donna Brooks
I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Hammes’ passing. In this time of sorrow and pain, I hope you can find comfort in God’s promise of the resurrection where we have the hope of seeing our loved ones again. (John 5:28, 29) May the God of all comfort bring you a measure of peace in this most difficult time. (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4)
