Florence Feldkamp
Seneca, KS

Florence M. Feldkamp, 81, Seneca, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 1989, at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital.
She was born November 29, 1907, on a farm near Centralia, the daughter of William and Mary Holan Koch. She attended a country school. Before her marriage, she was employed at Krotzinger Bakery in Seneca and at the Gilford Hotel in Seneca.
On January 2, 1929, she married Francis H. Feldkamp at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Seneca. They lived south of Seneca on the Frederick Feldkamp homestead until March of 1946, when they moved to their farm southeast of Corning. She worked at the Hillside Rest Home in Goff for 17 years. Her husband, Francis, died September 8, 1971. In March of 1979 she moved back to Seneca.
She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church and St. Ann’s Alter Society. Florence liked gardening and flowers. She enjoyed her family and friends and helped people whenever she could.
Survivors are two sons, Donald of Seneca and Robert of Topeka; four daughters, Evelyn Henry (Joe) of Goff, Delores Holthaus (Don) of Mayetta, Marcella Hunter (James), and Shirley Steele (Darrell) both of Topeka; a brother, Lawrence Koch of Seneca; three sisters, Lucy Deters and Gertrude Droge both of Seneca and Lena Barber of Red Oak, Iowa; 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers; William, Andrew, Louis, Wancel and Ralph Koch.
The rosaries were prayed at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. The funeral service was held Saturday morning at Sts. Peter and Paul Church. Burial was in the St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery at Corning.
