Mark Heideman
Corning, Kansas
12/10/1954 - 12/11/2018
Mark Gerald Heideman, 64, of Corning, died on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at his home.
Mark was born in Seneca on December 10, 1954, to Gerald and Alice Mahoney Heideman. He grew up near Corning and attended Corning Grade School and graduated from Centralia High School in 1973. After graduating from high school, he went to work for the Railroad. Mark later painted water towers and helped on the construction of CR Industries in Seneca. He returned to the family farm, to farm, where he remained until his death.
On August 11, 1993 he married Joni Davis. From that union, he adopted two children and they had two children together. They were later divorced, but remained friends and kept their family close.
Mark was a good cattleman and enjoyed working with his cattle, butchering hogs with his brothers, playing cards and drinking coffee. Fishing and mushroom hunting were his favorite pastimes. Even when he was busy on the farm, he would stop to give tractor and skid loader rides to his grandchildren and his many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed his garden, but mostly enjoyed giving away produce. He dearly loved his family, especially his grandkids.
Mark is survived by his children, Rachel (Andrew) Moffett of Warner Robins, Georgia, Dean Heideman of Burchard, Nebraska, Renee (Aaron) Boeschling of Waterville and Kim (Ryland) Critchfield of Barnes. His parents Jerry and Alice Heideman of Seneca, siblings; Ken (Mary) Heideman of Corning, Ron (Teresa) Heideman of Topeka, Keith (Lana) Heideman of Wamego, Gary (Phyllis) Heideman of Corning, Carol (Tim) Sack of Seneca, Deb (Keith) Hermesch of Seneca, Marcia (Bob) Johnson) of Maple Hill, Craig (Deb) Heideman of Topeka, Chris Heideman of Wichita, Dennis (Janet) Heideman of Baileyville; and eight grandchildren.

We are so sorry for your loss. Please accept our deepest sympathies to you and all of the Heideman family, so sorry that we cannot make it to the funeral.
Mike & Brenda
Mark was a special man. He was with my brother Dave when he was killed in a work accident. I’m saddened to hear this, and pray for the Heideman family.
Marcia, I am saddened by Mark’s passing because I know how close you are to family and through time you’ve mentioned some of the fun times you all had. Loss of a loved one is terribly painful, but sometimes tidbits of wisdom and comfort come to us from God, I believe, through others. I know you have prayed for me during my troubles and I willingly do so now for you and your wonderful family.
Sending Prayers to Mark’s family and friends.
Jerry, Alice and Family
Sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. My heart goes out to the family. Death is something we will never get use to. In fact, God’s Word refers to death as an enemy. (1 Corinthians 15:26) It is comforting to know that very soon our loving Heavenly Father, Jehovah, will remove death once and for all and give us the opportunity to see our loved ones again here on the earth. (John 5:28,29) May the God who “binds up the brokenhearted” and “comforts all who mourn” sustain you during this difficult time. (Isaiah 61:1, 2) Please visit our website at JW.ORG on how to cope with this “enemy” death.
