Helen V. “Ginia” Kuykendall, 77, of Seneca, died on Thursday, July 16, 2015, at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.
She was born in Seneca on January 26, 1938, to Ezra and LouElla E. Wilson Kuykendall. She attended Seneca Public School and graduated from Seneca Public High in 1955.
Ginia loved to cook and was passionate about cooking. She was employed at several local restaurants, The Sunset Diner (“The Greasy Spoon”), The Bern Café, Windmill Inn, The Huddle and The Friendly Diner.
She lived her whole life in Seneca; she loved animals and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Helen Elizabeth Schiffbauer.
She is survived by a brother, Gene (Delrose) Kuykendall of Temecula, CA; sisters, Linda Schiffbauer of Holton, KS and Donna Adriano of Saratoga Springs, NY; a nephew, Butch (Marg) Schiffbauer of Dubois, NE; and nieces, Susan Hundley of Atchison, KS, Tina Schiffbauer of Boulder, CO, Sheri (Walter) Bogdanski of Temecula, CA and Tessa (Aaron) Becker of Wellsville, KS.
The family has chosen cremation with a graveside services, they are going to be at 1:30 P.M. Sunday at the Seneca City Cemetery in Seneca, Kansas..
Memorial donations are to be left to a Diabetes Association.
