James Edmond Johnson

Seneca, Kansas

James Edmond Johnson, 60, of Seneca, died unexpectedly on June 3, 2024, at his apartment in Seneca.

James was born on February 2, 1964, in Topeka the son of Ray Andrew and Shirlie Lee Eisenbarth Johnson. James traveled as a child to Idaho, Mississippi and Puerto Rico, with his family while his father served in the military.  He graduated from Campus High School in Haysville.

James moved to Seneca to be close to his grandparents.  He was and a very dedicated employee, seldom missing work.  He was employed by Freddy’s Pizza Place, Eisenbarth Plumbing, Rays Applemart and Crestview Nursing and Residential Living all in Seneca.

James led a simple life. He enjoyed converting VHS and old family moves to DVDs. He collected CDs and loved to make CDs for his family of their favorite songs. He also liked to watch the old classic TV shows.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Edmund and Naomi Eisenbarth and James and Viola Johnson; and his brother-in-law, Brian Holley.

James is survived by his siblings, Jolene Holley of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Lisa (Tom) Flowers of Winfield, Kansas and Ray (Tracy) Johnson of Rosehill, Kansas, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 1 P.M.  on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Lauer Funeral home in Seneca.

A memorial will be designated at a later date and may be sent in care of the family.
