Jason was born in Topeka on May 12, 1981 to Roger and Judy Haug Adams. He grew up in Corning and attended school in Centralia, graduating from Centralia High School in 1999. He then graduated from Manhattan Area Vo-Tech. Before returning to Nemaha County he worked for McElroy’s in Topeka, Bob Crawford in Emporia, Reeves-Weideman in Emporia and Blue Dot Services in Topeka. On February 14, 2004 he married Laura Yarger at Hiawatha.
Jason was actively involved with the Centralia Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the Corning Knights of Columbus Council 13394 and St. Patrick’s Church in Corning. He enjoyed being outdoors—hunting, fishing, and 4-wheeling; he also enjoyed bowling, golf and baseball. He was a diehard fan of the KU Jayhawks, Kansas Royals and Pittsburg Steelers. Jason was a loving father who treasured and took delight in the time he spent with his two small children. He was well liked and had many friends whom he hung out with; he simply loved being around his family and friends.

He is also survived by his parents-in-law, Kenny and Sandy Yarger of Hiawatha; and sisters-in-law, Theresa her husband Chris Whalen of Lebo, KS and Amy and her husband Jake Hill of Willard, MO.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Urban Haug on March 18, 2008 and nephew Damon L. Quigley on January 19, 2021.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 AM on Monday, August 3 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Corning. The rosary will be prayed at 2 PM on Sunday, with a prayer service at 7 PM Sunday, at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. Burial will be in the Centralia Cemetery.
