Jeremy L. Nevels, 34, of Hiawatha, KS, died Friday, April 8, 2011 at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born on January 3, 1977 to Lynn and Marilyn Crevier Nevels. He attended Seneca Public School and later obtained his GED. He worked as a roofer for Mike Rose Construction in St. Joseph, MO until his accident on August 21, 2010.

Jeremy enjoyed fishing, hunting and simply being outdoors. He loved being a father and cherished his three children more than anything.

He is survived by his three children, Max, Jaiden, Cody Nevels, all of Hiawatha; his mother, Marilyn (Doug) Sibold of St. Benedict; his brothers, Jamie (Mary) Crevier of Olathe, Justin (Alexia) Nevels of Ethel, LA, and Aaron (Candy) Sibold of Axtell; his grandmothers, Charlene Crevier of Seneca and Minnie Nevels of Jackson, LA; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Lynn on May 5, 1993; by his brother Christopher Nevels on May 5, 1993; and by his grandfathers, Leo E. Crevier and Robert Nevels.

Funeral service will be 2 PM Monday, April 11, at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca, where he will lie in state after 11 AM Monday.

Memorials may be given in Jeremy’s memory for a fund designated for his children.
