Judith A. Lortscher

Judith A. Buser Lortscher, 83, of Hurst, Texas and formerly of Seneca, died Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Hurst Plaza, in Hurst, Texas.
Judith was born in Sabetha on August 31, 1934 to George and Elizabeth Karnowski Buser. She attended Sts. Peter and Paul High School graduating with the Class of 1953. She attended the Mary Mount College for a few years.
Judith married Donald Burdett Lortscher on June 11, 1955, at Sts. Peter and Paul’s Church in Seneca, Kansas. Donald passed away on September 11, 1980.
Judith and Donald moved to Puerto Rico, where Donald was stationed. They then moved to Kansas City, and to Plano, Texas. Judith returned to Seneca and in 2000 she moved to Hurst, Texas to be near her children.
She was a former member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, St. Ann’s Altar Society, and the V.F.W. Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. Judith loved to cook and sew, and was an avid bingo player.
Judith is survived by her daughter, Theresa (Terry) King of Hurst Texas; a son, Alex (Lori) Lortscher of Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Sister M. Christella Buser, CSJ of Concordia, Kansas and Mary Elizabeth Morrissey of Olympic, Washington; grandchildren, Kacey, Katy, Ian, Ally and Aidan; and great-grandchildren, Blaire, Shelby and Annie.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Alfred, George Jr., John, Donald, Eugene and Burton.
A visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 A.M. on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca.
Judith will be laid in the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic cemetery in Seneca.
Memorials may be left in Judith’s memory to the Sts. Peter and Paul Window Restoration, sent in care of the family.
