Leroy J. Holthaus, 81, of Kelly, Kansas died on September 20, 2024 at his home east of Kelly.
Leroy was born on December 29, 1942, on a farm east of Kelly to Henry J. and Regina H. Hastert Holthaus. He attended St. Bede’s Catholic School. Leroy dedicated his life to farming, working alongside his brothers until his retirement. He took great pride in the livestock he raised and the crops he cultivated, and he was always ready to lend a hand to neighbors in need.
He was a member of St. Bede’s Catholic Church in Kelly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Ronald.
He is survived by his brother, Kenneth Holthaus of Seneca.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 A.M. and celebrated by Fr. Viet Nguyen, on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at St. Bede’s Catholic Church in Kelly.
Memorials may be left to Kelly Heritage Fund.
A rosary will be at 9:30 A.M. prior to the mass, at St. Bede’s Catholic Church in Kelly.
