Lisa Kay Beuttel Larkin, 56, of Topeka, KS, lost her battle against cancer on Sunday, May 30, 2010, while surrounded by her family.

Lisa was born in Wichita on December 20, 1953 to William and Marilyn (Myers) Beuttel. She graduated from Wichita Heights High School and attended Wichita State University. She worked for Northrop King in Wichita, where she met her future husband.

She married Russell Larkin on June 29, 1981 in Las Vegas, NV; he preceded her in death on February 29, 2000.

Lisa worked for the League of Women Voters for many years in Topeka. She was a loving, dedicated and devoted mother, who will be missed more than words can express.

She is survived by her daughter, Lindsey Larkin of Topeka; her step-son, Brandon Larkin of Kansas City; and her brother, Herman Beuttel of Seattle, WA.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by both her parents.

A prayer service will be held at 7 PM, Wednesday, June 2, at Mother Theresa’s Catholic Church in Topeka. A private burial will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Baileyville.

Memorials may be given in Lisa’s memory to an education fund for her daughter, and sent in care of the family.
