On June 1, 1944 Marie married Warren Roy Glace at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in their rural Kansas community.
The couple lived on a farm south of Broughton, KS until 1959 when they moved to a farm east of Oneida. Together Marie and Warren had four children and were married 23 years before Warren died in a tractor accident on January 6, 1967.

After selling the Seed House, Marie worked as the book keeper at the Oneida Grain Elevator for 23 years, retiring in 1990.

After retiring she was able to participate in some of her favorite organizations, including United Methodist Women and the County Homemakers FCE.
On April 12, 1969 Marie married Russell N. Anderson of Oneida. Russell became father and grandfather to Marie’s family: Warrene Glace and Jim Stadler, Silver Lake, KS; Bill and Janie (Hightower) Glace, Sabetha, Kansas; Ardis Glace and Jay Nichols, Palm Springs, California and Bob and Jan (Montgomery) Glace of Waterloo, Iowa.
Marie leaves 12 grandchildren, 25 (almost 26) great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Marie was one of the sweetest people a person could know & could brighten anyone’s day. Our sympathies to all of the family…it was so clear how much she loved all of you.
I remember as a young boy going into the Oneida elevator with my dad, and I can still see that smiling face beaming from behind the counter. She was always so nice to everyone. A genuine role model as to how to treat people.
I loved to go in there too because grandma would always give us a candy bar…. thank u for your kind words.
Some of my favorite memories are working with Marie at CGF grain elevator. Gary and I send our Prayers and Blessings to Russell and all the family. Gary &Norma Bruning
So sorry, thinking of your family at this difficult time. May Gid’s strength and your memories sustain. Love Pat
I am sorry i can not be there as I am too far away. But know you are in my prayers
Ardis and Bob, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Such a beautiful lady. We lived in Oneida and went to school in Bern. Keep the memories and the love she had for all.
Aunt Marie was my only aunt and there could not have been a better one. She never missed an occasion to acknowledge my sister and me with a card in our youth and sent the most interesting letters of farm tales until recent years. She was a faithful Christian and raised a God fearing family; what more could one ask. Thinking of my cousins, Warrene, Bill, Ardis & Bob with love and deep sympathy.
Dear Glace and Anderson Families: My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in this most difficult time. When we lose someone we love it is like we have a missing limb. That feeling won’t go away completely until we can be with our loved one again. It is good that Almighty God has promised just such a gift. We read in the Holy Bible at Acts 24:15 “And I have hope toward God, … that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” Almighty God longs to restore our loved ones to us. The man Job said of God at Job 14:15: “You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands.” The True God longs to return our precious loved ones to us by means of the resurrection, thus healing our broken hearts …. 💔 ….. 💖
