Paul E. Kramer

Seneca, KS

12/28/1959 - 08/02/2017

Paul Eugene Kramer, 57, of Seneca, died on August 2, 2017. His courageous two-year battle with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma ended peacefully in his home, with his family by his side.

Paul was born December 28, 1959 at the hospital in Axtell, Kansas to Eymard and Alice Burdiek Kramer. He was the fifth of six children. Paul attended Nemaha Valley Grade School and graduated from Nemaha Valley High School in 1978.

In September of 1986 Paul married Jean Warnica and he was blessed with three boys, Joel, Jared and Ethan. The couple later divorced. Paul has an adopted daughter, Haylee, from a later marriage that ended in divorce.

Paul was a devoted and hardworking employee. Over the years Paul was employed at the Seneca Elevator, A1 Auto Supply and the Saints Peter and Paul School as a janitor. Until his death, Paul was employed at Suther Building Supply in Seneca where he was employed for the past twenty years.

Paul was a member of the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca, Kansas where he was a church usher for many years. Paul was a 4th degree member of the Ponce De Leon Assembly and the Knights of Columbus Council 1769.

Paul loved life and didn’t let anything keep him from doing the things that made him happy. He enjoyed spending time with his children and family, telling jokes, making wine, brandy, salsa and home-made ice cream. He enjoyed bowling and being outdoors hunting, fishing, shooting blue rock and golfing.

Paul is survived by his four children, Joel (Jennifer) Kramer of Axtell, Kansas, Jared Kramer and Ethan Kramer both of Manhattan, Kansas and Haylee Kramer of Sabetha, Kansas; his father, Eymard (Joyce) Kramer of Holton, Kansas; his mother, Alice Burdiek Kramer of Seneca, Kansas; and his siblings, Donna (Darrell) Heinen of Axtell, Kansas, Steve(Marcia) Kramer, Wayne (Cindy) Kramer, Dave (Angie) Kramer all of Seneca, Kansas and Susan (Tom) Steinlage of Emporia, Kansas; and many nieces and nephews.

Before his passing, Paul learned he was going to be blessed with his first grandchild in February of 2018. Paul was very excited to be a grandpa and we all know he will be watching over and loving that baby from heaven, with the biggest smile on his face.

Rosaries will be prayed at 2 and 7 PM on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca, Kansas.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 AM on Saturday, August 5, 2017, by Father Arul Carasala at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. The Knights of Columbus Choir will sing.

Paul will be laid to rest at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery.
