Paul J. Pultz, 75, of Seneca, KS, formerly of Sidney, NE, died Friday, May 8, 2009 at Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca.

Paul Joseph Pultz was born on November 15, 1933 in Denver, CO, the son of Fred and Flora Pierson Pultz. He graduated from Saint Patrick’s Academy in 1951 in Sidney, NE. He entered the U.S. Army on September 22, 1953 in Omaha and was discharged on September 21, 1956 at Fort Benning, GA as an SP3. He was then employed at the Sidney Post Office until he retired in 1987. He married Carlene Spangler in November 1966 in Marysville, KS. They were later divorced. Paul enjoyed military history and collected firearms.

He is survived by a daughter, Paulette Burkhalter and her husband Mark of Humbolt, NE; a son, Nathan Pultz of Sidney, NE; six step-daughters; a grandson; a granddaughter; and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Other survivors are his sister Mary Moeller of Seneca; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11 AM Monday, May 11, at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Seneca. A rosary will be prayed at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca at 10 AM Monday, an hour before the funeral. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
