It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger Lynn Tiller, 70, of Seneca, KS, who peacefully departed this life on September 26, 2024, at Olathe Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.

Roger was born on February 12, 1954, in Pawnee, Nebraska, to Gerald Wayne and Norma (McCoy) Tiller. After graduating from Pawnee High School in 1973, he pursued a degree in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning at a two-year Vocational Technical school in Omaha, NE.

Following his education, Roger returned to his hometown for a few years before relocating to Seneca, KS. He dedicated 31 years of his career to CR Industries, starting as a press operator and rising to supervisor. Later, he worked for 11 years at Crosswind Industries in Sabetha, KS, initially as an extruder operator before transitioning to human resources.

On May 21, 1983, Roger married Lori Mitchell of Kansas City, MO, at Hillside Christian Church. They celebrated 41 wonderful years together and welcomed their son, Nathan Wayne Tiller, on February 16, 1986.

Roger was known for his warm heart and infectious laughter, never meeting a stranger. He cherished spending time with family and friends, often playing board games. A former member of Jaycees and an active participant at North Ridge Church, Roger was also an avid reader who enjoyed suspense novels and true stories. He was a dedicated fan of the Cornhuskers, Kansas City Chiefs, and the girls’ Husker volleyball team.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, Gerald “Shorty” Wayne Tiller, and his sister, Sharlet Fotinos. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lori; his son, Nathan, and his fiancé, Christa Pagnano; his mother, Norma, of Pawnee City; and two cherished grandchildren, Evan Timothy Tiller of Duncan, OK, and Kadyn Zane Mosqueda of Seneca, KS. He leaves behind countless friends who will miss him dearly.

In accordance with Roger’s wishes, he will be cremated, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Dear family of Roger’s: We send you our most sincere sympathy! I am Deb (Buman) Kerl’s older sister. There were 5 of us Buman kids and the Tillers were our neighbors in Pawnee City for years! I used to babysit for Roger and Sharlet. Deb and “Tiller” as we affectionately called Roger were the best of buddies and playmates when they were little. We have some wonderful memories shared with the family. Norma has always had a special place in my growing up years. May Roger rest in peace and may our Lord give you His comfort and peace at this difficult time. We share your sorrow. Sincerely, Linda (Buman) Ketelsen, Florida.
