Ryan R. Sextro, 27, of Seneca, Kansas, died Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca.

He was born on May 21, 1985 at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital, the son of Robert R. and Karla J. Kaster Sextro.

He grew up in the Bern area and graduated from Bern High School in 2003. He then graduated from Kaw Area Technical School in Topeka in 2004. He was employed at Mitchell Appliance at the time of his death.

On July 8, 2006 he married Kathryn R. Buessing at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baileyville. Their daughter Sydney was born on July 8, 2010.

Ryan was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Baileyville Knights of Columbus Council #13087. Ryan enjoyed sports, especially football; he took pleasure in working on his Chevy Nova and motorcycles.

He is survived by the love of his life Katie and his precious daughter Sydney; his parents, Robert and Karla Sextro of Bern; his brother Kent of Bern; his sisters, Robin Stapelton of Sabetha and Kyndall Sextro of Bern; his grandparents, Chuck and Charlene Kaster of Bern; and in-laws, Vern and Karen Buessing of Baileyville.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Don and Anita Sextro.

Rosaries will be prayed at 2 & 7 PM Thursday, July 19, at Sacred Heart Church in Baileyville. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 AM Friday, July 20, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be given for Sydney’s Educational Fund, and sent in care of the family.
