Violet L. Bell Miller

Sabetha, Kansas

Violet L. (Bell) Miller, 86, of Platte City, Missouri, formerly of the Sabetha, passed away on March 22, 2023, at her daughter’s home.

She was born February 18, 1937 in Sabetha, Kansas, to Wayne and Elsie Bell of Onida.

On February 20, 1956 she was united in marriage to Charles L. Miller. She lived in the Sabetha and Seneca, Kansas communities before moving to Platte City, to live with her daughter and granddaughter’s family, Arietta McGowan and Brandy Sudduth.

In her lifetime, while raising her children and working in the home, she had various jobs. The job she held the longest, and enjoyed the most, was Roggenkamp’s Liquor Store in Sabetha. She enjoyed visiting with customers.

 

She is survived by five daughters, Sue Sunnenberg of Sabetha, Kansas, Arietta McGowan of Platte City, Missouri, Melody Estle of Sabetha, Kansas, K-Lynn Fournier of Port Orchard, Washington, and Toni Vollmer of Falls City, Nebraska; two sons, Cary Miller of Fairview, Kansas and Tracy Miller of Kansas City, Missouri; 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

 

A graveside service is planned for late spring at the Oneida Cemetery, Kansas.

    So sorry for the families loss. I loved her very much. I will miss her. Violet also had an older brother, Charles DeWayne Bell of Onieda, KS.
